C'est tellement triste que la culture québécoise peut disparaître comme ça. Tellement de bons matériels qui est disponible absolument absolument nulle part. Souvent la seule place pour trouver certaines choses sont sur les sites pirates, et quand le site ferme beaucoup disparait. Je pense pas que l'entreprise privée peut régler ce genre de problème ça prend du leadership au gouvernement.

On investit collectivement, chaque année, des millions de dollars afin de produire des films québécois qui n’existeraient pas sans deniers publics. Parce qu’on estime que notre culture n’est pas une affaire de bénéfices nets. Or, on ne peut voir certains longs métrages parmi les plus marquants de notre cinématographie nationale, parce que ce n’est pas rentable pour des entreprises privées, parfois américaines. C’est un non-sens.

Content warning: sucking at soldering and feeling bad

seems like i just ruined my gamer mouse with while trying to repair it (trying to replace a worn out switch).
maybe i also ruined the solder tip (seem corroded, it's all matte gray and does not take any solder anymore, tried to clean it with a wet dish towel (i lost the sponge i guess) and the brass wool (how is that even supposed to do anything?)).
anyway, i feel like a failure and i wanna cry or something.

Something else we're not talking about with LLM training: a huge number of sites are going to go paywalled or private because of it. It's already happening in genre publishing. Sites will no longer publish stories for free, adjusting business models to do this. The blatant copyright violation, the unethical sourcing, the tendency to produce works so similar to what exist are all aspects of this. It’s a well-flanked attack on open publication.
